Nanowal co-organises the 26th edition of the French Forum des microscopies à sonde locale from Monday 31 March to Friday 4 April 2025 in Spa.
Since its first edition held in 1998 in Sangatte, the Forum's aim has been to bring together users of local probe microscopy from all horizons of life (biologists, chemists, physicists, engineers, etc.) and to provide a forum for exchanges between experts and novices, with strong participation from doctoral students.
The topics covered range from fundamental studies in nanoscience to applications and instrumentation for local probe microscopy. The interest in this forum has only grown over the years, as these microscopies are one of the major tools in nanotechnology. The forum is an excellent opportunity for doctoral students to present the results of their research in an open and friendly environment. Companies marketing products in the field of local probe microscopy will be invited, as they are every year, to come and present their latest developments, and to interact with users. There will also be courses on advanced applications of STM and AFM.
